CEP Endorsement of External Activity


CEP AMM supports and endorses high-quality educational activities aligned with the principles and goals of continuing education in emergency and prehospital care. We welcome applications for endorsement of external activities such as workshops, conferences, CPD courses, webinars, and other academic programs.

Definitions

Endorsement

  • Definition: The College formally takes responsibility for the scientific content and educational value of the programme.
  • Implication: Endorsed programmes are viewed as high-quality, beneficial, and aligned with the College’s goals.
  • Impact: The College may encourage members to attend, and organizers may use the tagline: “Endorsed by the College of Emergency Physicians”
  • Marketing value: Strong promotional leverage that reflects the College’s careful review and support.

Support

  • Definition: The College acknowledges and encourages the programme’s positive community impact, though it may not fully evaluate its scientific content.
  • Implication: A lighter form of backing, appropriate for public health campaigns or awareness activities.
  • Tagline allowed: “Supported by the College of Emergency Physicians”

Eligibility

To be eligible for endorsement, the proposed activity must meet the following criteria:

  • Content should be related to emergency medicine.
  • The program must offer clear learning objectives, structured content, and measurable outcomes. Materials should be current, scientifically sound, and evidence-based.
  • Speakers and instructors should have appropriate qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Any sponsorship or conflicts of interest must be clearly declared.
  • Activities may be open to the general public, professionals, or targeted subgroups (e.g. medical officers, paramedics, students).

Response Timeline

  • Applications will receive a formal response within 14 working days from the date of complete submission.
  • You may be contacted for additional documents or clarification during this period.

Financial & Branding Information

  • There is no charge for endorsement by MyCEP.
  • Use of MyCEP's logo or name must follow the official guidelines and is permitted only after formal approval.
  • Endorsement does not imply financial support or co-organization unless stated otherwise in writing.
  • Any profits or registration fees generated from the activity remain the responsibility of the organizing body.

How to Apply

To ensure smooth processing and possible CPD accreditation, submit your request at least 2 months before your event with the following information:

  • Name and date of the event
  • Full program agenda or brochure
  • Target audience
  • Faculty/speaker list and their CV
  • Learning objectives
  • Any sponsor or commercial involvement (if applicable)
  • Request letter (optional but recommended)
  • Name and contact number of the liaison person

The College will respond with a formal decision within 14 working days.

Decline

MyCEP may decline to endorse or support if the activity is not aligned with the College’s objectives or standards.

  • This does not indicate disapproval, but rather reflects the College’s commitment to scientific credibility and relevance.
  • Reasons for decline may not be disclosed and are determined by the College Council.

Financial Considerations

  • No fees are charged for endorsement or support.
  • Use of MyCEP’s logo or name is strictly prohibited unless written approval is granted.
  • MyCEP’s endorsement does not imply co-organization or financial involvement.
  • Organizers remain fully responsible for event logistics, finance, and any registration income.

Benefits of Endorsement

If endorsed, your event may receive:

  • Permission to use MyCEP’s logo and letterhead
  • Assistance to obtain CPD points from the Academy of Medicine Malaysia
  • Promotion via MyCEP social media platforms
