A dynamic group of clinical specialists with mutual interest in neurological emergencies. We aim to create interest and awareness among clinicians the paramount importance of systematic approach in rapid detection and holistic early management of neurological emergencies to ensure favorable outcome.
Clinician frequently encounter challenges while attending to a neurological emergency as there is no standardized clinical practice guideline which aligns best practice across various specialties. Lack of neurology specialist created a pressing gap for neuroemergency champions to provide optimal care which includes rapid detection, resuscitation, stabilization and definitive pharmacological or interventional management.
Neuroemergency SIG is working to educate emergency physicians, medical officers, nurses, and paramedics on early recognition and management of neurological emergencies, advocating evidence-based management approach, and facilitating inter-department and inter-agency collaboration.
